Ok I just got off the zoom call with Mia at
https://www.facebook.com/TheRothIUL/
She's a nice lady. I think she thinks I'm a misogynist and she was offended that I brought up talking to some older gentleman as an example of my thoughts on trying to find somebody to bring on board as a long term financial advisor.
She was trying to make a sale of course. Or at least to filter a lead that came through her sales funnel. You don't get in to the insurance sales game without being driven by making sales. Which I have no problem with. Some of the greatest businessmen in America were great salesmen. Can the women hold their own? Of course they can. In fact many women excel far beyond the men in many cases in all areas across the spectrum.
There are great men and there are great women. I would not consider myself to be a misogynist which I never even heard of the word until I saw Andrew Tate on the Tucker Carlson show. So that is how the devil is trying to cause more division now by pitting men against women, young against old. No problem satan, get thee behind me.
So it was a good zoom call all in all. It gave me some ammo to make this post and it goes right along with my goo-roo watch program. Mia has positioned herself as a goo-roo sales person and she is out there beating the bushes. I'll check out her website some more and she says she even does a podcast.
I think in today's world it's about as obvious as the nose on your face that if you expect to make any sales you're going to need to compete in the social media and internet presence world. Thank you for your time Mia. God bless you perhaps we will talk more in the future depending on what I see of your online presence going forward.
There is a lot of competition out there for the old geezer's investment dollar. Buyer beware. Look before you leap. And even somebody who only wants the sale, and has no interest in getting to know the prospect or developing a long term relationship with the prospect would need to, it seems to me, kind of filter out who they sell to maybe? I mean, let's say some gal got a really bad impression of me on the initial zoom call and thinks this guy is an old racist white male misogynist and I hate this guy's guts. But I can't turn down a $100k life insurance policy sale so I'm going to pretend like I don't hate his guts and go ahead and ink the deal.
What kind of customer service do you think you would get after your check cleared the bank? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.
And why do I need to talk to somebody on a zoom call if all I want to do is to buy a life insurance policy? Oh it's because it's so complicated Doug, it's so complicated. You need a professional to handle that for you. Just sign right here, oops, dropped my pen, there you go, just sign right here and everything will be ok. You're going to love this deal. Ok thanks Doug. Take it easy. We'll let you know once your check clears the bank. Take care. Good bye.
Now why can't I just go online and shop for life insurance policies the same way I shop for everything else I buy on Amazon? Seems that the way of the future will be to buy life insurance online with no human interaction at all. It's getting to the point where a human being in the equation just slows everything down and compounds the confusion.
If you think, oh I'll just go down to the store and talk to somebody, or I'll just run down the bank and talk to somebody at the bank, what you will run into more often than not is somebody who has less of an idea what is going on that you do, and if it's all laid out in writing on the computer screen in the first place why would I need to talk to somebody who hasn't even read the manual and knows less about it than I do, when any question that might arise in my mind can be more quickly and more efficiently and better answered and in writing with a quick internet search?
