I wish a buck was still silver.
All of this insurance and retirement and Wall Street stuff and taxes and bookkeeping and accounting. Thank God I have that to worry about and not how I'm going to pay my rent this month. I want to get my plan down and up my giving. Currently I only give to Christian pastors who have been arrested for preaching the Gospel on Sunday's in the united States of America. George Washington would be turning over in his grave.
So in a way and on the one hand it starts to become pretty obvious that there is opportunity in many areas one being putting yourself out there with a blog and youtube channel and twitter and instagram and oh boy here we go it's the 90's dude.
Well, writing a blog is nothing new for me. I was one of the original bloggers back in the day. Subject being the illegality of the Internal Revenue Service. Now that's something that will get you kicked off of twitter muey pronto although I have like many old confederate soldiers gone on with life under the new regime. Some of them were less one arm or one leg and probably considered themselves to be one of the lucky ones.
What I think I will do here at around age 65 is to have everything in gold, silver, and real estate. Pretty simple plan. Then make sure you got some insurance I guess. And hope that bad news from the doctors doesn't come for as long as possible giving you the maximum chance of getting things in order before that last train pulls in to the station.
So now to be able to have the luxury of not having to work very much, or at least the good fortune of having been able to mold my work day into a quite pleasurable day one great and easy day after the other. Many would love to be in my shoes, and a few might have things even better. But I was thinking, how much better could Warren Buffet feel sitting and working at his desk and computer and on his phone than I feel doing exatly the same thing.
I can pretend that I own as much as Warren Buffet and we both sit and work all day with enough. The old Hebrew word for wealth is enough. To have enough. With time off from any job, and a good business plan to work on in my free time. I can pretty much guarantee you one thing, nothing comes without work, but that doesn't mean I have anything against anybody who just wants to retire and take it easy either because I don't. I'm kind of like Dale Watson on the one hand, and who's to say Warren Buffet is any happier than Dale Watson.
There may even be people living on the street who are happy. That is hard for me to imagine but some maybe like the old mountain men of days gone by would just as soon live outdoors and hunt for their food. Certainly a different day but deep down mentally possibly there could be parallels. I'm glad I'm sitting in a nice warm home and only writing about it from my computer keyboard in a nice comfortable chair after a nice dinner of beef and beans.
So the main objective here is to build a solid financial structure, or as solid as possible, along the lines of the Dave Ramsey baby steps. I've got to say I'm a big Dave Ramsey fan. Beans and rice. Rice and beans. Silver and gold. Gold and silver. Real estate and gold. Gold and whole life insurance policies.
But how many whole life insurance policies should one person have? I think Nelson Nash said he had over a dozen I think he said maybe something like fourteen. He had them on his wife and all his kids and grandkids. Sounds like a nice world where you are your own banker. Certainly something that I am interested in continuing to look in to as the days roll by here now heading quickly towards winter solstice and then moving towards spring equinox and on the night of the 14th day of the first month is Passover.
God bless America.
