Jesus Name Help Center
If I were J.R. Ewing I would start a Jesus Name Help Center in the middle of some bad neighborhood in America. Here in the united States everybody should be living the American dream right? Wasn't that the vision of the founding fathers? The American dream? Well if you go into these inner cities, and even in the suburbs, and even in the small towns and rural areas, I think it would not be too hard to find somebody who would argue with you that they are not living the American Dream.
What would the founding fathers think if they could see America today? What would they think about the Civil War? What does the future hold for the younger and the future generations of American citizens and the world? Might it be the most hellish total surveillance police state ever imagined by the likes of George Orwell? Or might it be a beautiful and free world where everybody is prosperous and healthy and successful and living the American dream? Or might it be somewhere in between.
I think there is only one man who knows and he is the man upstairs. So the important thing becomes, what does it all mean to me Doug Kenline.
The way I see it is that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And when one third of his children rebelled and followed satan he became so angry that he destroyed the earth and it became void and without form. And I guess then he took seven days and rebuilt the earth and on the eighth day he created the man Adam. And through the bloodlines of Adam came King David and Jesus Christ, king of kings, and lord of lords.
So we find ourselves today in the year 2023, and why is this the year 2023? Why is this not the year 4354? Are we sure that this is the year 2023? As believers we are sure. This is the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2023. Everybody knows this is the year 2023. I think maybe even in China it is the year 2023 but I would have to research that some more. I think China might have some other calendar. But nobody anywhere on this earth thinks that one day is not twenty-four hours.
The sun comes up, the sun goes down. It doesn't matter if you are in Rio De Jenero, China, or Haiti, or down under in Sydney, Australia. The sun comes up, the sun goes down, and that is one day. That is 24 hours. No matter who you are, you wake up, you do something for awile, and then you go to sleep. And that cycle repeats until the day you die.
And where do you go when you die? Where are those who you once knew in this world who have since died. Where are they now? I believe that the good ones are in heaven and still living. Living in heaven. Quite a thought to think about living in heaven with the certainty that someday you will be there too.
In the meantime there are people here on earth who need help. Haiti looks like a living hell on earth. And I don't envy anybody who is living under the bridge on the Mexican side in El Paso hoping to make it across the river into a detention center and eventually be dropped off in front of the vice president's private residence in Washington DC.
I think in every neighborhood and every town and every city across this great country there should be a Jesus Name Help Center. Now I suppose we have that already and they are called churches. I know where I would be going if I needed help. And I do need help to stay strong every day and that help comes from the father, son, and holy spirit. For me it comes by reading and studying the word. With the internet today we have the greatest preachers in the world coming right into our homes 24 hours a day 7 days a week 3654 days a year.
There is no doubt that this is a new century and is much different than the last century and all centuries before it. It appears that this is the first century with the internet and computers and social media and everything that we are seeing now.
So if we have all of these churches, and if these churches are Jesus Name Help Centers, then why do we still have homeless and destitute and poor and struggling families here in America? If everybody in America was living the American dream and had time and money to help others well then it seems that this would overflow into other countries and eventually there would be Jesus Name Help Centers in every community across the world and all people would be living the American dream.
I imagine if Warren Buffet where to buy homes in the middle of poor neighborhoods all across America and put a sign in the front yard that said Jesus Name Help Center and had somebody sitting in there 24 hours a day waiting to help anybody that came through the door that there would be people lined up around the block at every center.
How could you help them when they came in and sat down to talk with you? Well obviously the answer to most of their problems would be financial assistance. Food, clothing, shelter. You would have to ask them what is going on in your life? Why are you here asking for help? And then try to help them. If I were Elon Musk or Bill Gates or one of these people living in a 75 room mansion on 100 acres of private land I think I would like to do just that.
And that's where I need help from God above to help me not to become that guy with a 5 million dollar diamond necklace flying around in private jets with my Bughati in the cargo space. Like Dieon Sanders and his heisman kid Shedeur Sanders. Or all of these big rappers who all the poor black kids look up to as they rap about killing people and dealing illegal drugs. I can't judge anybody because there is only one judge and we will all be judged when that day comes.
But it just seems messed up to see so many of these people showing off their money and saying that they have so many millions and millions and huge mansions and cars and caviar and dom perion and private jets while so many others don't even have running water or food or shoes on their feet. I'm probably just as bad as anybody when it comes to greed and privilege. But giving everything to a communist government and becoming a monk in a cave I don't think maybe doesn't help anybody and maybe is not what God has called me to do.
Although I am and have been a hermit working every waking minute of my life and now coming ahead financially for really the first time in my life at 60 years of age and not only from my own work but now having been blessed by the work of my earthly mother and father since they have gone on to heaven.
So yes, many could look at me and say that guy is one lucky privileged man in this world and I can not disagree. So I'll think about trying to make this blog an online Jesus Name Help Center and hope to someday expand to brick and mortar locations throughout the country. If you are reading this and you need help send me an email at dkenline at hotmail dot com and I will look at your situation and see if there is anything I can do to help you.
I can't help you if you're problem is laziness but if you are doing your best and could use a little help with the groceries or some of the rent or a bill or two that might be overdue or a tank of gasoline and you are working hard and endeavoring to persevere I would be glad to be able to send you a small check in the mail to help you in some small way.
The thing is that people like me don't ask for help. They just pray and do the best they can. The ones who ask for help are considered to be beggars and if you give them any money they just squander it and then come back asking for more. Look at San Francisco after a billion dollars going to the homeless. It doesn't look like a picture of the American dream.
God bless America.
