Tithing

I like the idea of tithing.  And I agree with Rodney Howard-Browne that you should give 90% and live on the 10%.  And he gives 90% to Rodney Howard-Browne Ministries and I give 90% to The Doug Kenline Newsletter Ministries.  You just buy a little red brick retail store property on the main drag downtown.  You get it all fixed up real nice and good.  It's got the nice big glass windows in front and an old time wooden floor when you walk through the door.

It's a two story building built before the turn of the century with that old time craftsman detailing and quality.  So you can live in the loft upstairs.  There's plenty of parking right next to the building.  Ten parking spots with fresh new blacktop and newly painted parking lines.  No handicapped spots.  If anybody who is handicapped comes in they just send you a text when they get there and you have the valet come right over and park their car for them and a couple of orderlies to assist them inside the store.

Then you have a nice modest sign kind of old timey made that says Jesus Help Center on it and you hang it in the window out front.  The sidewalk in front is nice and wide with beautiful trees on a nice warm summer day.  Under the Jesus Help Center sign it say Hours: and by that it says "watch sign" and there is an old time Shakey's Pizza hand pointing in a 45 degree angle up to a higher sign that is an OPEN on front and a CLOSED on back hanging by a string that the owner flips around to make it say OPEN or CLOSED.

There's a nice big waiting room when you first walk in with comfortable couches all around.  You have Pastor Murray playing on the radio overhead and everyone is required to sit quietly and listen.  One at a time they come up and sit down at your desk in your office that is just behind the secretary's desk and your office has big glass windows all the way around so everybody can see you in there talking to the next person that needs help but they can't hear what you are saying.

All they can hear is pastor Murray on the overhead radio and the sign says Quiet.  No talking.  Please wait your turn.  God bless you.

There is coffee being served and pastries by the store clerks.  Trash is readily removed and there are nice tables to set your coffee mug.  Phones are not allowed to be used and must be turned off while waiting.  If more than the available seating are needing help then they will have to wait outdoors in a long line going around the block.  If it is cold and snowing or wet and rainy they will unfortunately just have to tough it out somehow.

Now you take them one at a time.  The first one is in your office now.

I will later expound this into a New York Times best seller but in the meantime you can start your Jesus Help Center online until you have the money to expand to brick and mortar.  You start up a little free blog at blogger dot com.  Call it whatever you want and let your readers know that this is  a Jesus Name Help Center.  And you tell your readers to send you an email if they need help just as I am doing here at dkenline at hotmail dot com.

Now depending on your current means you will be restricted in what you can do.  In fact I would recommend that you first get to Dave Ramsey baby step 7 before you start such an undertaking but there are street preachers and all kind out there so like old JT used to say go for what you know.  But my advice is to get to baby step 7 first and then start a Jesus Name Help Center ministry where you give 90% to the ministry and live on the 10% just like Rodney Howard-Browne.

Of course be reading the good book and listening to pastor Murray every day along the way.  I have been blessed by God to already at the young age of 59 and a half be a  Dave Ramsey baby step seven graduate.  And now it is time for me to start my Jesus Name Help Center and that is what you are witnessing here as you read this.

I have also been blessed to find somebody who needs some help and I will start out by trying to help that person a little here and there as I  get things going here.  Of course as I  learned at the Winbro College of Free Enterprise you cannot just let a  bunch of drunks come through the door and give them the keys to the office and say we need to keep this place open 24 hours and they start getting in to fist fights down there and the cops  get called and oh man you are really helping others as you lose your job and can't pay the rent and have to move back in with Mom and Dad.

No there are certain realities as far as I know son.  If you are not a  baby step 7 graduate then I'll have to tell you to go away and talk to Dave Ramsey.  Ask him about the baby steps and when you graduate baby step 7 come back and I'll see what I can do.

Now there are those who have won the lottery or otherwise come into a  windfall be it inheritance or otherwise.  Some of these old sixty year olds with big piles of money like to take it easy and you will never see one written word from them for as long as you live.  They like to text back and forth to whoever they text back and forth with and they put a little on Facebook here and there or nothing at all ever.  It seems the vast majority of idiots in this  world unlike myself appear to keep their mouths shut and be thought to be a  fool rather than start a Jesus Name Hep Center blog and remove all doubt.

So long story short is before you can help anybody else you got to help yourself.  And like it or not we are in the money game.  I am  lucky and I am blessed and if you need any help send me an email and I'll help you with paying one of your bills this month.
